I’ve been a member of the green party since 04, and was raised by a Nader Raider. Yes we are an actual political party. No you cannot register as a “Green Party Member”, you have to register as an independent. The long and short reason is that the government doesn’t want to recognize us. Pretty much the main reason I’m in the green party isn’t because of social activism, or being environmentally friendly and dancing around trees. Although, that’s all good with me. I believe in publicly funded elections, meaning zero private money involved. Nobody’s hand in your pocket. The green party is one of the ONLY parties that supports this. (The libertarians do not.) Just like any other party you can be a liberal green, a conservative green, or a middle green. Just go green. If you need more info, just respond. If you really want to find out how corrupt the system really is, join the party and collect signatures around election time. All I have to say is, I hate Ken Blackwell.

The Greens are a 3rd Party. They are a far-left party consisting of hippies. They are fanatical environmentalists, anti-war, and pro-civil liberties (except when it comes to economic freedom, which they strongly oppose).
