Ron Paul saddens me, because half of what he says, I love, a quarter of what he says, I’m not sure about, and the other quarter I really don’t agree with. How do you vote for someone who has a lot of good ideas, and some potentially really bad ones too?

  2. ThePoisonYouth says:

@odiousinterneter At least he’s saying what the others wouldn’t dare. I think anyone who values the constitution should be shown in the right light.

  3. odiousinterneter says:

Ron Paul is just another politician. Don’t trust him.

@chromacopy365 : again you are making vague references to “any” history texts, but any advanced college level texts would prove otherwise. As I explained in my two cases, most kids in those days (as they are now in most 3rd world countries) didn’t have the kind of childhood that most enjoy these days. In fact, if you go back a bit further in pre-capitalistic age, children were even sold at auctions as they were burden to families barely able to feed themselves. In another word, it wasn’t the

either ron paul is the dumbest man in the world, or he is the smartest. i think we need to check their records: bernacke: increases government spending and debt. ron paul: wants government to spend only what it makes. jeez, bernacke, youre a genius ! let your grandchildren become chinese slaves in order to live nicely now!. smart !

Infrastructure would be paid through privately.. Walter Block has a series of videos on the privatization of roads. Police and defense would be covered privately as well. Personally if we are going to have taxes I’d rather see a flat 3% tax on imports. That and perhaps the sale or long term leasing of federal land. A constitutionally limited federal government could survive on that. That and maybe a national lottery.

@xantastic67 But even an episode of the Twilight zone has to end. The only question is do we allow the next episode to be as twisted as the one we’re in?

  8. I808Bob says:

Congress is every bit as bad as the Executive and judicial branches. A strong congress does not equate to reigned in government. Only strong constitutional commitments in all branches of government will make a difference with big government stealing America’s wealth and strength.

Decentralized power structure was the original design and is the ideal we need to return to. I agree with ending all foreign aid, I do not agree with the idea that we need to quit being the international police.

Paul is the front runner in my book.

Many words come to mind in describing Dr. Paul; among them are: Brave, honest, intelligent, patriotic. He is a true champion of all that is good in humanity. Thank you Ron Paul, you are a gift from God.

@tryptala True. Look at all of these stupid, one-sided comments by ‘Sillynannny’ – Obviously OD’d & successfully brainwashed by Fox News, Glenn Beck, etc.

having to do with the Tea Party i’m gonna have to say why start a new party just because, didn’t research the smaller political parties in the U.S. the libertarian party has been around since at least the 70s and the tea party is very close in beliefs to the teachings of Dr. Ron Paul so why start a new party? seems silly doesn’t it it’s just cause of fox f-in news, I’m a libertarian and have been one since I learned about the weaknesses of the american democracy’s two party system

  16. tryptala says:

@chromacopy365 Yeah, there’s a lot of free market utopians out there. There’s some who even say there should be no government at all. You’ll always find some who’ll push their pet philosophy into lalaland and then Paul gets labeled a wacko by association. Paul’s not irrational, and he’s just one man. Even if he were elected President, Congress is not going to vote away their love of growing government, but Paul could put a check on it.

  17. PepsiPope says:

    God bless this man.

  18. chromacopy365 says:

@tryptala Go back and read what the other guy was saying. He, like so many other Teabaggers, was not willing to admit that “The gov’t HAS to regualte a great many things.” OK?

  19. tryptala says:

    End the f*%king FED!

  20. tryptala says:

The problem is fraud is so widespread and endemic that it requires a whole revolution in government to get people to even see its there. The monetary policy of the U.S. and the world is based on a fraud. Expunging the fraud will be a monumental task and resisted by the most powerful people in the world and the deluded public, so a focused, methodical attack is needed, and the place to start is the elimination of the central bank system. That start will be a huge first victory.

@chromacopy365 The government has to regulate a great many things. To think otherwise would be truly naive of the dark side of human nature, but it’s a balancing act between necessary regulation and unnecessary regulation. Right now the balance is way over in the unnecessary and the incredibly bloated government that goes with it. Regulation has to be reduced and better devised, and prosecution of fraud has to be greatly increased, and failed enterprises must be allowed to fail. No propping up.

  23. chromacopy365 says:

@KoryoJin If government doesn’t “legislate morality” in some fashion, who is going stop the abuse that, historically, companies have been guilty of? The pt is, that child labor laws are good b/c, yes, kids are allowed to work-but established guidelines are set. Good regulations help prevent abuse & exploitation.

  24. KoryoJin says:

@chromacopy365 if a child wants to work its up to the child and his/her parents and the employer. not the government. LOL IM DAZZLED LEARN HOW TO THINK! if a child cant work why not say let say anyone over 60 cant work becuz risk of injury and inefficiency? the government should also ban old men from working becuz they’re old and i’d rather pay a 13 yr old kid more becuz hes stronger and faster. Now… does that comment seem fair to you?

  25. KoryoJin says:

@chromacopy365 well if they wanted that job why not? when government says oh you have to pay this much blah blah blah its the same thing but vice versa people still get hurt. you have to pay each individual more therefore you can hire less people. thats not the REAL problem of your statement tho. the real problem with that is that government is legislating morality.

  26. KoryoJin says:

@Blairtim69 so in conclusion the over spending has to stop. we think we’re some sort of invincible empire, but we only been around 240 years. there are castles in constantinople that have stood longer than our country. persian empire failed. USSR failed. Roman empire failed. Ghengis Khan failed. empires failed not becuz they are weak militarily but becuz they lose economically. I hope i answered your questions.
